(That Made Us Fall in Love with Québec)
When Marriott Bonvoy invited us to Mont-Tremblant last July for a brand partnership, we thought we were simply checking another destination off our Canadian bucket list.
We couldn’t have been more wrong.
The moment we arrived, it felt like we’d stepped into a little European-inspired mountain village tucked away in the Laurentians. Colourful buildings lined cobblestone streets, live music echoed through the pedestrian village, cafés spilled onto sunny patios, and every corner looked like it belonged on a postcard.
What started as a work trip quickly turned into one of our favourite summer escapes in Canada.
If you’re planning your own visit, here’s the exact 3-day Mont-Tremblant itinerary we’d recommend, based on everything we loved—and a few things we wish we’d known beforehand.
Day 1: Arrive and Fall in Love with the Village
Since we arrived in the evening, we resisted the urge to pack our schedule. Instead, we simply wandered.
Honestly, that’s the best way to experience Mont-Tremblant for the first time.
The pedestrian village is completely walkable, so spend your first evening exploring without an itinerary. Pop into boutiques, admire the colourful buildings, and let yourself get lost among the cobblestone streets.
If you’re visiting in summer, chances are you’ll stumble across live music, street performers, or outdoor entertainment in one of the village squares.
As the sun sets, grab a patio table at Le P’tit Caribou.
Whether you’re stopping for one cocktail or staying until the dance floor fills up later in the evening, it’s one of the liveliest spots in the village and the perfect way to kick off your trip.
Day 2: Mountains, Adventure & Sunset on the Lake
Today is all about experiencing why Mont-Tremblant is one of Québec’s top outdoor destinations.
Morning: Ride Above the Laurentians
Start early with the panoramic gondola to the summit.
Once you’re at the top, hike the Roche – Coulée – Corniche Loop, making sure you continue all the way to La Corniche viewpoint.
This ended up being one of our favourite views of the entire trip. Looking out over endless green mountains, it’s hard to believe you’re only a couple of hours from Montreal.
Afternoon: Fly Through the Forest
If you’ve never been ziplining before, Mont-Tremblant is a fantastic place to try it.
We spent the afternoon soaring above the forest canopy with Ziptrek Ecotours, and the combination of mountain views and adrenaline made it one of the most memorable experiences of the weekend.
Evening: One of Our Favourite Summer Memories
One of the best surprises in Mont-Tremblant is the free Cabriolet lift.
It’s a fun (and completely free) way to move around the village while enjoying beautiful views over the resort.
Later, we rented a giant paddleboard on Lac Tremblant.
We thought the oversized board would make things easier. Instead, it became one of the funniest moments of our trip. Between trying to stay balanced, paddling in different directions, and laughing the entire time, it was the kind of memory that makes a trip unforgettable.
After drying off, we wandered back into the village for dinner.
One of our favourite discoveries wasn’t even planned—we stumbled into a small bar and ordered what turned out to be the best Caesar we’ve ever had.
Sometimes, the unplanned moments become your favourite stories.
If there’s live music happening that evening, stay a little longer before ending your night with Tonga Lumina, an immersive multimedia walk through the forest that transforms the mountain after dark.
Day 3: End on a High Note
By now, you’ll understand why people keep coming back to Mont-Tremblant.
Before heading home, squeeze in one more adventure.
Morning: Skyline Luge
We almost skipped the Skyline Luge because it sounded like it was designed for kids.
We were wrong.
Within minutes, we were racing down the mountain, laughing like children ourselves. If you’re going, buy the 3-ride pass – one ride definitely isn’t enough.
Afternoon: Slow Down Before You Leave
Depending on your mood, finish your trip one of three ways.
Relax at Scandinave Spa
If your legs are feeling yesterday’s hike and zipline, there’s no better place to recover than the thermal baths.
Spend the Afternoon at the Beach
Grab an ice cream, find a spot by the lake, or rent one last paddleboard before heading home.
Explore Domaine Saint-Bernard
If you prefer quieter nature over busy villages, this peaceful conservation area is filled with walking trails, wildlife, and beautiful lake views.
Tips We Wish We Knew Before Visiting
- Arrive early for the gondola and hiking trails to avoid crowds.
- Don’t miss La Corniche viewpoint – it has some of the best views in Mont-Tremblant.
- Ride the free Cabriolet whenever you’re moving around the village.
- Book Ziptrek and Tonga Lumina ahead of time during summer weekends.
- Rent a giant paddleboard if you’re travelling with friends – it may not be the easiest option, but it’s definitely the most fun.
- Leave time to simply wander. Some of our favourite memories came from places we hadn’t planned to visit.
Are 3 Days Enough in Mont-Tremblant?
Absolutely.
Three days gives you just enough time to experience the mountain, the lake, the village, and a mix of adventure and relaxation without feeling rushed.
What started as a work trip for us became one of our favourite Canadian getaways. Mont-Tremblant has a way of making you slow down, spend more time outdoors, and appreciate just how diverse Canada’s landscapes can be.
And if you’re anything like us, you’ll probably leave already planning your next visit.
